Tanner Steven Update

Hunter's baby brother is still cooking. Tanner is doing great! Last week (30 weeks), the doctor estimated that he weighs about 4 lbs. Momma definitely looks like he is a big boy. After weekly checks to make sure everything was going well, we have recently cut back to 3 weeks and now 4. We are praising God that things are going so smoothly! Looking at our last ultrasound pictures, he may look a little like his big brother, which is just grand with me. Hunter is a precious, beautiful baby. We are really looking forward to meeting this tiny guy.

Cowboy Hunter

My school had Texas Day last week. Granna and Daddy were out of town and Momma had to be with her class, so Aunt Sassy took Hunter to play. Not all 2 year olds got to take part in the fun of Texas Day. Hunter wore his red cowboy hat and had so much fun playing. I loved having him there since he loves horses, tractors, and playing. Thanks Aunt Sassy for having fun with Hunter.
Hunter found Momma's class and ran over to see me. He melts my heart. There is nothing like seeing your sweet boy running toward you in a cowboy hat! I love it!!
Hunter went on a hayride around campus. He got to ride on the saddle the whole time. Thanks Sass for taking pictures.

This is Hershey. Hunter adores horses and so this was a very special treat for him to get to sit on a horse. I am pretty sure he has never gotten to do this before. He has seen horses from a distance and has petted a horses nose near Daddy's work, but he has never gotten to sit on one.
Momma's class was making their own brands so Hunter made one too. He wasn't overly interested, but Momma (and her students) loved having him there. I love showing this kid off!
Sassy helped Hunter roast a marshmallow. I'm pretty sure that he had the best marshmallow of the day. Most of them were burned, but thanks to Aunt Sassy, Hunter's was perfectly toasted. Please excuse the hair, it was very windy that day.
Hunter enjoying his marshmallow. He took a good, long nap that afternoon. What a blessing to work at a place that understands my love for my kid and lets him come play, even when the activities are for the big kids. Thanks Sassy for helping sweet Tunter have such a fun day.

Big Boy Bed

Hunter is now officially a big boy. He is, thankfully, no longer sleeping in his crib. He has been promoted to his big boy bed. He l-o-v-e-s it! He seems to be sleeping better. He wants to go to bed some nights. The best part is that we don't have to worry about him crawling out or in his crib. Hunter got to help put his bed together and use tools. One of the most common things we hear these days is, "Tunter telp" as he shakes his head yes. He is a good little helper too. We've been doing all kinds of projects around our house and he has helped with every project. He even has some of his own tools. He loves his hammer ("tumah" ha!) Hunter's daddy couldn't ask for a better helper.
He looks a little devilish, but he was oh so happy to be holding the drill.
Hunter's first night in his big boy bed. He slept great and didn't get up at all. He has his bedtime routine down. He wants momma and daddy to "peep" in bed with him occasionally. Of course, he gets excited so that doesn't last too long. He looks soooo tiny in that big bed. He hardly takes up a fourth of it. Some mornings, we find him sideways across the bed, on top of the covers. I can't believe my baby is big enough to "peep" in a big bed. It is even more crazy that in 2 short months, that Hunter's crib will be occupied by another sweet little guy. Geez Louise! God is so good to us!

Happy Belated Easter!

I apologize for the lateness of the Easter post. Better late than never. . . . right? We had a fun-filled weekend in Arlington this year. We went to the Fort Worth Zoo, an Easter egg hunt, and as Hunter says, we "played, played, played." I love that Hunter is old enough to enjoy many of the things we enjoy. He is such a joyful kid, always laughing, smiling, and loving. He has got his momma and daddy wrapped around his little finger. I really can't explain the first picture. He is a goofball through and through and I love this picture. What a clown.
On the Thursday before Easter, Hunter's PDO class had an Easter egg hunt on the playground. I gave my camera to one of my fellow teachers at school and hid around a corner to watch him find the eggs and play. I didn't want to upset him. He threw several eggs and laid in the gravel. He was precious, nonetheless.
This picture is one of my very favorites from the weekend. Hunter and Uncle Daniel were good buddies at the zoo. We were at the hippo exhibit so Hunter and Daniel were showing me their hippo mouths.

Hunter trying out the stagecoach in the Texas area of the zoo. I adore those curls!!
Saturday, we went to church with Jared and Maci and the boys for an Easter egg hunt. Hunter couldn't quite keep up with Joshua and the bigger kids. Hunter loves his cousin. He loves playing with him and asks about him often. The weather was beautiful and the kids had so much fun together.
Sweet cousins holding hands.

Hunter looking for eggs. I love this smile.

All of the Holloway boy cousins. Landen, Joshua, Hunter, and Peyton. Hunter doesn't quite fit in with his dark, curly hair.

Oh, Hunter does love his suckers.

After church and lunch, Mimi and Papa hid eggs in the front yard and let the boys pick them up. Apparently, Hunter was thinking very hard about finding those eggs.
